Demonstrator

The FORMOSA demonstrator seeks to prove the feasibility of operating a millicharged particle detector in the challenging forward environment at the LHC. It was installed in Febuary 2024 and has been running smoothly to collect data from Run 3 of the LHC. The project has been carried out with the support of the PBC group at CERN. The data collected has proven the feasibility of our DAQ strategy and backgrounds are being measured now!
